We warmly welcome you to enjoy amazing sunrise and sunsets in our quiet little Iwitea Village. Immerse yourself in the culture and mana of Iwitea Marae.

Our marae is equip with kitchen catering equipment, seated dining for 160 people and our wharepuni sleeps 40 people comfortably.

Catering & Audio Visual

We have a data projector available in our wharenui “Te Poho o Tahu” and should you require a more extensive audio set up in our wharekai “Takutaimoana Te Rohe” this can be arranged with a local supplier.

Most catering is at your discretion, however, we can connect you a supplier if you wish to have catered meals. We are more than happy to work with you to ensure your manaakitanga (hospitality) experience at Iwitea Marae is a memorable one.

Cultural Services

We can arrange your pōwhiri or mihi whakatau to open your event, with a welcome by the hau kāinga. The marae is then available to accommodate all your function needs.

Please note that ‘tangihana’ cancel all confirmed bookings.
